Western Red Cedar Natural Groove Sidewall shingles are kiln dried resawn and rebutted (edges and thick end re-cut square and parallel), and they are run through a machine to give them a more rustic grooved texture. #1 Grade and 50 square feet to the box when installed at 14″ exposure with an under-course shingle, 25 square feet when installed at 7″ exposure with no undercourse. These are a perfect match for many homes built in the 50’s and before. Primed with an oil based primer.
